, <br /> . <br /> National Tooling and Machining Association <br /> After founding New Century Careers, a workforce development and training program to meet the <br /> needs for qualified machinists and create amore diverse workforce for manufacturers hn5yV <br /> Pennsylvania,the National Tooling And Machining Association hired WIN to design and <br /> implement Precision Jobs inAdvanced Manufacturing tgexpand the program nationally. <br /> Statewide <br /> Pennsylvania Industry Partnership <br /> WIN was engaged to research and design a statewide initiative to identify industry clusters with <br /> the highest levels ofemployment and those emerging industries that needed workforce to grow. <br /> Nine geographic based job clusters were designated ondarnode|waocreatedtoincentk/ize. <br /> employers in each cluster to work collaboratively with community and intermediaries to recruit, <br /> train and hire workers.The resulting Industry Partnership program was implemented throughout <br /> Pennsylvania and was adopted inseveral other states.WIN became the largest contract manager <br /> for Industry Partnerships inPennsylvania jomultiple clusters including: Renewable Energy, <br /> Advanced Manufacturing, Health Care, Finance and Insurance, <br /> 'Logistics and Transportation, <br /> Construction and Homeland Security. <br /> Penn State University ' <br /> Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry co-contracted with Penn State University and <br /> WIN to design and deliver a Professional Workforce Development Quality Training Certification <br /> for 35OOof the States VNOACareer Services workers. <br /> West Virginia <br /> The Community College System inWest Virginia contracted with WIN toresearch and identify <br /> occupations,career paths,skills and certifications required for residents to access jobs in the <br /> emerging Marcellus Shale industry.The resulting report,training programs and strategic <br /> implementation plan was adopted b«the Community College System statewide. <br /> Regional <br /> New Century Careers <br /> Mr. Maciak was the co-founder and principal developer of New Century Careers(NCC),a ' <br /> nationally recognized collaborative designed to meet the' critical skills gaps inthe manufacturing <br /> sector. NCCsManufacturing 2OOO(N2K) entry level machinist training program targets 1ow- <br /> incoms\ minority and women candidates tofill the skills gap inthe precision machining industry <br /> andimprove diversity inthe regions manufacturing workforce. K42Kisthe principle supplier o'f <br /> entry-level machinists in Southwestern Pennsylvania. Mr. Maciak served as president of New <br /> Century Careers until November 2011 and continued to serve as a Board Member until 2016: <br /> NorthCentral PA Workforce Investment Board Incumbent Health Care Worker Career Ladder Pilot <br /> WIN completed amulti-year ^pilot project todemonstrate the applicability and feasibility of <br /> creating regional workforce educational partnerships in north central Pennsylvania to address the <br /> need for amore affordable and accessible system ofeducation and training.This collaborative <br /> project of the regional workforce investment board,the University of Pittsburgh, Lock Haven <br /> University and South Hills School ofBusiness directly addressed the need tomove incumbent <br /> workforce into coding, billing and related occupations within the Dubois Regional Health System <br /> and Elk Health System hospitals.This —project was designed,executed and managed by WIN under <br /> contract with the North Central Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Board ofDirectors. <br />
