Since it is
assumed that City staff will be responsible for at least a portion of this work,we anticipate that AECOM
will be responsible for the following:
• Shop Drawings
o Maintain and update a shop drawing log
o Review and provide comments(30 reviews)
• RFIs
o Maintain and update an RFI log
o Review and respond to Contractor RFIs (10)
• Change Order Log
o Maintain and update a change order log
o Review and respond to Contractor Change Order Requests (3)
• Pay Requests
o Assist the City in reviewing up to maximum of six(6) Pay Requests.
Task 3: PART-TIME RESIDENT ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION OBSERVATION
When requested by the City,AECOM will provide on-site resident engineering (RE)and
construction observation services. It is assumed that City staff will be available when AECOM staff
is not on-site. Costs will be based on a total of 20 site visits, which will be combined with in-person
progress meetings. Depending on the number of crews utilized by the Contractor and the
construction schedules, additional construction observation can be provided at additional cost. The
RE will perform project observation to assist the City in verifying that the products, schedule
delivery, storage quality, and installation is in general conformance with the contract documents. It
is assumed that City staff will track all Contractor quantities, including the review of mainline sewer
and lateral sewer CCTV. When on-site, AECOM will maintain up-to-date records of construction
details throughout the project, including photographic record of construction activities and a Daily
Field Report. For the purposes of this proposal, it is assumed that an AECOM staff member will be
on-site (or at a progress meeting)for a maximum total of approximately four(4) hours per site visit.
2
