Article 11 <br /> Section 5. Such time off shall be taken at the convenience of the employee and the <br /> Department and shall be used time for time. In addition, a classified employee required to work <br /> on the following holidays shall be paid one and one half(1 %2)times the regular rate of pay for the <br /> hours they work for said holidays: <br /> Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day <br /> A classified employee required to work overtime on the holidays listed in this section shall <br /> be paid two (2)times the regular rate of pay for any time worked in excess of normally scheduled <br /> hours on the holidays. A classified employee called into work on the holidays listed in this section <br /> for which he/she is scheduled off shall be paid two (2) times the regular rate of pay for all time <br /> worked. A classified employee called into work from an approved paid leave day shall be shall <br /> be paid two (2) times the regular rate of pay, and shall retain the paid leave day for use at a later <br /> time or for cash buy out, depending upon the type of leave used and pursuant to the terms of this <br /> agreement. Holiday pay shall begin at the beginning of the shift on the holiday,and shall continue <br /> for the entirety of said shift. <br /> Article 12 <br /> Section 2. Accumulated sick leave frays hours may be used for illness, injury or off- <br /> the-job incurred disability. Tkey Sick leave hours may also be used for the illness, injury, or <br /> disability of an employee's spouse, parent, or dependent child. One day Time for time of <br /> accumulated sick leave credit with pay shall be deducted from each employee's sick leave <br /> accumulation for earh dut),day duty time not served due to illness, injury or off-the-job incurred <br /> disability of the employee or employee's spouse,parent, or dependent child. <br /> Article 16 <br /> Section 10. This section pertains to only those uniformed officers in the Patrol <br /> Division working the 12-hour schedule. <br /> A member of the patrol division may elect to make a duty day trade with other members of <br /> the patrol division. All duty day trades shall be subject to approval by the shift <br /> commander. All duty day trades shall be for the entire 12-hour workday. Both officers <br /> must agree to trade days off and must identify the days being traded between each officer <br /> at the time the request is made. <br /> No duty day trades shall be denied for arbitrary reasons. No duty day trade may be <br /> requested until the member seeking the trade has exhausted all attempts to receive earned <br /> time off and the request was denied.
