Exhibit A- Supplement 2
Drainaize Design
Design ditch along the ICRR maintenance road to be reconstructed. Ditch design will be revised along the
ICRR maintenance road to accommodate the proposed Ameren l OD pole.
Roadway Lighting Design
The lighting design along the Jug Handle Connector roadway will be revised to accommodate the proposed
Ameren electrical line.
Utility Coordination
Underground Utility Locate Survey
The original contract scope for survey work only includes aboveground utilities and access points for
underground utilities(e.g., manholes, handholes). Underground utility atlases and drawings were to be
provided by the underground utility owners for the project team to draw them into cad. However, some
utility owners did not have accurate location information on their underground utilities for the team to
identify conflicts and needed relocations.
During final design, these utilities will supply field technicians who could locate their underground facilities
and asked for the City of Decatur to provide survey crews to record the field location of the underground
utility. To obtain this information needed for the project, the AECOM Team will record the utility locations
in the field with the utility technician.
The project team will complete field survey work for utilities due to these utilities being unable to provide
accurate location information about their infrastructures. The additional field survey work will be completed
for the following items/entities:
1) ADM Fiber Optic at the ADM Spiral Plant—underground fiber optics line
2) Metro Communications—underground communications lines
3) Sanitary District of Decatur—one of the sanitary sewer lines on the east leg of the intersection was
identified as a water main when the original survey was completed and manholes for water lines
were not opened during the original survey. Through further coordination, it was discovered to be a
sanitary sewer line. The AECOM Team resurveyed the manholes and opened them in order to record
the location of connecting pipes, measure down, and connecting pipe size.
4) Windstream Communications—underground communications lines
Coordination with Ameren
1) Support coordination with Ameren of proposed pole locations conflict with the AT&T proposed
relocation along Brush College Road
2) Additional information on the location of the Ameren gas line along Faries Parkway was received
after the preparation of the January 2021 PS&E. The storm sewer will be re-designed to reflect this
information along with additional coordination of the proposed and existing storm sewer along
Faries Parkway once Ameren was able to provide additional detail on their pole relocation plan.
3) Coordination with NSRR
a. The AECOM Team will submit four(4) initial railroad permit application fees to the NSRR.
The original scope assumed three permits would be required; however, the NSRR
determined that a fourth permit would be required. The NSRR requires the use of a new
online permit submittal system, which was not available at the time of the original scoping.
The NSRR coordination also results in revisions to the design of the jacking and boring pits
2 Supplement 2 05/09/2023
