SA 2277 <br /> Section 4 The Company, the City, and IDOT shall, each, upon Order, according to the <br /> requirements contained therein, proceed toward the completion of the proposed <br /> improvements, each accomplishing the work with its own forces or appropriate contracted <br /> services, and each agrees that an appropriate time for the completion of the proposed <br /> improvements should be eighteen (18) months from the date of a Commission Order <br /> approving this Agreement. <br /> Section 5 The parties agree that an equitable division of cost for the proposed <br /> improvements is as follows: <br /> COST DIVISION TABLE <br /> IMPROVEMENT EST. The reimbursable railroad signal work shall include the Company's installation of railroad <br /> interconnect cable from the railroad crossing controller unit inside the new railroad crossing signal <br /> bungalow to a locked junction box mounted on the outside of the new railroad crossing signal bungalow <br /> 2 Company responsible for all future operation and maintenance costs associated with the new automatic <br /> warning devices and interconnect cable from the back of the junction box into the railroad signal controller. <br /> 3 Total GCPF assistance for the City's median widening, grooving and renewing the "RXR", Cross-hatch and <br /> Stop Bar Pavement Markings within City jurisdiction are not to exceed $83,000 combined; any such costs <br /> above the total estimated amount of$83,000 will be divided in the same percentages noted above, upon <br /> submittal and review of evidence to support the additional cost and subject to approval by the Commission. <br /> 4 City will maintain per an existing traffic system maintenance agreement between the City and [DOT, with <br /> IDOT being responsible for reimbursing the City's maintenance costs. <br /> 5 City responsible for all future maintenance costs associated with the highway approaches, medians, "RXR" <br /> markings, cross-hatching, and stop bar pavement markings within the City's jurisdiction. <br /> Section 6 The City is financially able and willing to pay a portion of the cost for the <br /> proposed improvements as may be assigned by the Order and indicates this intent by <br /> Resolution incorporated herein by reference as Exhibit D. The City shall submit a certified <br /> copy of their Resolution at the same time as the Execution Page of this Agreement is <br /> submitted to the Commission. <br /> Section 7 Special Provisions: Since the highway approach work, median widening, <br /> grooving, and pavement marking applications at the crossing will be performed by the City <br /> 3 <br />
