EXHIBIT A-1 <br /> CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS <br /> NE QUADRANT WATER SYSTEM CAPACITY IMPROVEMENTS <br /> SCOPE OF PROFESSIONAL SERVICES <br /> g. Identify conflicts requiring field work, such as potholing, to resolve. Potholing <br /> will be performed by the COD. <br /> 2. Water Model Refinement: <br /> a. Confirm WaterGEMS model runs properly. <br /> b. Verify water demands in model. <br /> c. Evaluate 30-inch versus 36-inch diameter pipe performance for Alternative <br /> 2D that runs from the Garfield Avenue elevated water tank, along Garfield <br /> Avenue east to Brush College Road and north to the intersection of Hubbard <br /> Avenue (minimum and maximum day demands &fire flows). Included in this <br /> evaluation is determining if the 16-inch diameter water main from Martin <br /> Luther King Jr. Drive to the Garfield avenue elevated tank should be upsized <br /> to 30-inch diameter to improve flow from the Division Street tank. Also <br /> included is evaluating the benefits, if any, of connecting the proposed <br /> transmission main to existing water mains of 12-inch diameter and larger <br /> along the alignment. <br /> d. Evaluate 30-inch versus 36-inch diameter pipe performance for Alternative 4 <br /> that runs from the Garfield Avenue elevated water tank, along Illinois, Jasper, <br /> Woodford and Hubbard Avenue to Brush College Road (minimum and <br /> maximum day demands &fire flows). Included in this evaluation is <br /> determining if the 16-inch diameter water main from Martin Luther King Jr. <br /> Drive to the Garfield avenue elevated tank should be upsized to 30-inch <br /> diameter to improve flow from the Division Street tank. Also included is <br /> evaluating the benefits, if any, of connecting the proposed transmission main <br /> to existing water mains of 12-inch diameter and larger along the alignment. <br /> e.
