Due to hardware limitations in these earlier hardware
revisions, Cisco does NOT have the ability to resolve these issues.
Impacted Devices
• Older hardware versions (VID 14 and earlier, manufactured approximately 2013-2019)of the
following models:
o 8811, 8841, 8851, 8851NR, and 8861 models
• 88XX video phone models—8845, 8865, and 8865NR
o End of sale for these video phones was announced Feb 2025
• Phones registered to UCM are NOT impacted by this issue. Enterprise Phone firmware is NOT
impacted. Only after migrating to MPP.
• These devices will continue to be supported on UCM on-premises and Webex Calling Dedicated
Instance
Hardware revisions V15 and later of the 8800 series are NOT impacted by this issue.
In October 2025, Cisco will implement the following changes:
• Webex Control Hub migration tools will be updated to mark the migration eligibility status differently:
o 8845, 8865, and 8865NR will have notes indicating "End of Support"
o 8811, 8841, 8851, 8851NR, and 8861 VID14 and earlier will have notes indicating "Not
Recommended"
• Migration tools will not block migration, and customers can choose to proceed at their own risk.
Common scenarios, leading to intermittent performance issues, but are not limited to:
• High network latency environment
• KEM(s)attached
• Exec assistant having high call volume
What can customers do if they experience these performance issues?
• Due to hardware limitations, there are no workarounds or fixes for these earlier hardware revisions.
• Customers should contact their Cisco account team, PSM, CSM, or partner to review alternative
product options that best suit their needs.
How to determine hardware version
1.
