iii) Provide physical security input to support the Client's planned access control overlay
(e.g., detailing physical door hardware compatibility or physical barrier requirements
to define the zones).
d) Develop a conceptual-level (AACE Class 5) cost estimate.
e) Physical Site Security Improvements Workshop
i) Organize and facilitate one (1)virtual workshop (up to 1 hour) with the City to
present the conceptual designs for proposed site security improvements.
ii) The purpose of this workshop is to gather feedback from the City and confirm the
conceptual direction.
iii) A summary of the workshop, which may be in the form of meeting minutes and/or
presentation slides, will be provided to document the decisions made by the City.
10)OPERATIONAL VULNERABILITIES EVALUATION
a) Review Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), record drawings, and block flow
diagrams for the sole purpose of identifying and documenting operational vulnerabilities,
including single points of failure, locations lacking redundancy or adequate flexibility as
identified by WTP staff, or other locations presenting operational difficulties as identified
by WTP staff. Compare the current condition of the WTP process and chemical feed
systems with the generally accepted engineering standards, such as Ten State Standards
and Illinois Title 35. Perform site visit with City staff.
i) Only water treatment processes, including treatment units and chemical feed systems
as indicated below will be considered.
(1) Raw water intake (including inlet, pipes and pumps)
(2) Primary Treatment
(a) In addition to vulnerability evaluation, identify features that would enhance
the operability or ease of maintenance/repair of the existing solids contact
clarifiers on the west treatment train. This includes improved access to
clarifier floor, lifting points for valve and pump replacement, and improved
materials handling.
(3) Filtration
(4) Disinfection
(5) Transfer and High Service Pumping
(6) Chemical Systems
(a) Carbon Dioxide
(b) Chlorine gas
(c) Chlorine dioxide
(d) Cationic polymer
(e) Fluoride
(f) Hydrated lime
(g) Sodium bisulfite
(h) Sodium hydroxide
(i) Polyphosphate
(j) Powder Activated Carbon
b) Prioritization Workshop:
8
