CITY OF DECATUR ' SPECIAL PROVISIONS SP-8 CATCH BASINS TO BE ADJUSTED WITH NEW TYPE 3 FRAME AND GRATE ' Description: This work consists of removing the old catch basin structure and casting and replacing it with a new Type C catch basin with Type 3 Frame and Grate. A half-trap will need to be installed if one does not already exist. A flat slab top is to be included with this work. Basis of Payment: All labor and materials necessary to complete this work will be paid for at the contract unit price per EACH for CATCH BASINS TO BE ADJUSTED WITH NEW TYPE 3 FRAME AND GRATE. SP-9 AGGREGATE BASE COURSE, SPECIAL Description: Recycled aggregate base course CA-6 or recycled HMA shall be placed as additional material is required for soil cement work. This work shall be performed under Article 104.02 and 109.04 of IDOT specifications as directed by the engineer. Prior to placement, an IDOT Materials Inspection Approval Letter must be submitted to the engineer. Basis of Payment: All labor and materials necessary to complete this work will be paid , for at the contract unit price per TON for AGGREGATE BASE COURSE, SPECIAL. SP-10 BRICK REMOVAL Description: This work will consist of removing 4"brick after removing the asphalt surface layer. This is in preparation for the soil cement work. Basis of Payment: All labor and materials necessary to complete this work will be paid , for at the contract unit price per SQUARE YARD for BRICK REMOVAL. SP-11 CONCRETE BASE REMOVAL Description: This work will consist of removing approximately 5"thick concrete base material underneath the brick mentioned in SP-10. This is in preparation for the soil cement work. Basis of Payment: All labor and materials necessary to complete this work will be paid for at the contract unit price per SQUARE YARD for CONCRETE BASE REMOVAL.
