INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT FOR THE SHARING OF CERTAIN COSTS RELATED TO THE INSTALLATION OF GUARDRAIL ON LOST BRIDGE ROAD IN THE CITY OF DECATUR, MACON COUNTY, ILLINOIS, BETWEEN THE CITY OF DECATUR AND THE COUNTY OF MACON, ILLINOIS RESOLUTION NO. H-1894-6-14 WHEREAS, the County of Macon intends to implement the installation o Lost Bridge Road in the City of Decatur and desires that the City of Decati cost of the improvements; and WHEREAS, the City of Decatur is desirous of contributing to the cost of t WHEREAS,the County of Macon is a body politic and corporate in the Si WHEREAS, the City of Decatur is a body politic and corporate in the State of Illinois; and WHEREAS, the 1970 Illinois Constitution, Art. VII, Section 10 and 5 Illinois Compiled Statutes 220/3 provide authority for intergovernmental co-operation; WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Decatur believes the installation of guardrail on Lost Bridge Road in the City of Decatur by the County of Macon will be of benefit to the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Macon County; Illinois, and WHEREAS, the Chairman and Macon County Board believe the installation of guardrail on Lost Bridge Road in the City of Decatur, Macon County, Illinois, will benefit the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Macon County, Illinois. NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual agreement contained in this agreement, the City of Decatur and the County of Macon agree as follows, subject to actual construction costs: 1. The County of Macon agrees to pay for the complete and total costs of the installation of guardrail on Lost Bridge Road in the City of Decatur,the total costs not to exceed $20,000. 2. The City of Decatur agrees to reimburse the County of Macon for 100 percent of the complete and total costs of the installation of guardrail on Lost Bridge Road, the total costs not to exceed $20,000. 3. The County of Macon agrees to act as the lead agency on the installation of guardrail on Lost Bridge Road project and oversee the administration and payment of the funds detailed in items 1 and 2 above. 4. The County agrees to cause the improvement to be built in accordance with plans, specifications and contract consistent with the requirements for the expenditure of the Motor Fuel Tax Funds.
