APPENDIX A <br /> UNION STREET SEWER REHABILITATION OVERVIEW <br /> The Union Street Sewer begins just west of the intersection of Cerro Gordo Street and Edward <br /> Street and extends south to the Sanitary District owned Lincoln Park CSO facility near the old <br /> City Dam on the Sangamon River. The Union Street Sewer is one of the oldest sewers in <br /> Decatur, dating back to the early twentieth century, and sections of it have bene replaced and re- <br /> routed over the decades. The original pipe was brick construction with an egg-shaped cross <br /> section and it has been overlaid with a cement linter. A few more recently constructed pipe <br /> segments were constructed using concrete circular pipe.
