Payment shall be made to thje retirement health <br /> savings (RHS) plan established by the City for this purpose. <br /> Sick Leave Incentive Program: Forty-hour a week employees shall <br /> be awarded a personal day on May 1 of each y ar if no sick time is <br /> used in the preceding 12 month period, ending April 30. Fifty-six <br /> hour a week employees shall be awarded 0.5 personal days <br /> annually in such circumstances. If the employee carries a balance <br /> of 240 sick days throughout the entire 12 month period, the <br /> employee shall be awarded a second additional personal day on <br /> May 1. Fifty-six hour a week employees shall be awarded an <br /> additional 0.5 personal days annually in such circumstances. <br /> Personal days must be used in the 12 month period in which they <br /> are awarded. <br /> 2.7.3 Holidays: Forty (40) hour-a-week employees (shall have time off <br /> with pay on the following holidays: <br /> New Year's Day Memorial Day <br /> Martin Luther King Jr.'s Birthday Independence Day <br /> President's Day Labor Day <br /> Good Friday Veterans Day <br /> Christmas Day Thanksgiving Day <br /> Two Unscheduled Holidays Friday after Thanksgiving <br /> Fifty-six (56) hour-a-week employees shalt receive four (4) <br /> working days leave each year in accordance with departmental <br /> rules in lieu of holiday pay. <br /> When an authorized holiday occurs on Satrday, the previous <br /> Friday shall be observed as the holiday and %hen an authorized <br /> holiday occurs on Sunday, the following Monday shall be observed <br /> as the holiday. <br /> If a holiday falls within an employee's vacation period, an extra <br /> day shall be added to the vacation period. <br /> 2.7.4 Leaves of Absence: <br /> Funeral Leave: Leave with pay, dependent on funeral <br /> arrangements and travel requirements, butnot to exceed a <br /> maximum of five days may be granted an em�loyee in the event <br /> of a death in the immediate family.
