CITY OF DECATUR , <br /> SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> SP-2 TRAFFIC CONTROL (CONTINUED) <br /> All additional traffic control as required in the standard details and plans that are not <br /> specifically provided for herein will be considered as included with the various pay items ' <br /> requiring traffic control. <br /> Basis of Payment: Traffic control and protection will be paid for at the contract unit ' <br /> price as a LUMP SUM for TRAFFIC CONTROL (SPECIAL). <br /> SP-3 SAWING PAVEMENT (FULL DEPTH) , <br /> Description: This work will consist of providing a uniformly straight full depth saw cut ' <br /> with a diamond tipped concrete saw in varying depths of pavement, medians, curb and gutter and <br /> at other locations where proposed improvements will abut existing improvements, as indicated in <br /> the plans or as directed by the Engineer. ' <br /> Method of Measurement: Only the saw cuts necessary for the Class B Patching line <br /> item will be measured for payment. , <br /> Basis of Payment: All labor, equipment and materials necessary to provide Class B <br /> Patching will be included in the contract unit price per FOOT for SAW CUTS and no additional , <br /> compensation will be paid. All other saw cuts will not be paid but will be considered included <br /> with PAVEMENT REMOVAL per SQUARE YARD and no additional compensation will be ' <br /> paid. <br /> SP-4 TIE BARS AND DOWEL BARS , <br /> Description: This work will consist of providing tie bars and dowel bars within the <br /> pavement and patches across all joints. Bar spacing and lengths are detailed in Standard 420001 <br /> for pavement and Standard 442101 for Class B Patches. , <br /> Method of Measurement: Only tie bars and dowel bars necessary for the Class B <br /> Patching line item will be measured for payment. ' <br /> Basis of Payment: All labor, equipment and materials necessary to provide Class B <br /> Patching will be included in the contract unit price for TIE BARS 1 1/4"and DOWEL BARS 1 , <br /> 1/2"EACH and no additional compensation will be paid. All other bars will not be paid but will <br /> be considered included with PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE PAVEMENT, 8" (JOINTED) <br /> and HIGH-EARLY-STRENGTH PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE PAVEMENT, 8"per ' <br /> SQUARE YARD and no additional compensation will be paid. <br />
