Anderson Plaza <br /> Decatur, Illinois 62523 <br /> RE: Proposal for City of Decatur Police Facility <br /> Criteria Package, Implementation and Construction Administration Assistance <br /> Dear Ryan: <br /> Thank you for the opportunity to submit a proposal to provide architectural and engineering services for the <br /> Decatur Police Facility project. Our understanding of the project is as follows. <br /> General Information and Background <br /> Following years of Space Planning, Master Plans and Facility Assessment involving several existing <br /> building and sites,the City of Decatur is moving forward with locating its main police facility,at the former <br /> Bors Warner Administration building at 625 Southside Drive. <br /> This decision follows the analysis and recommendation of Dewberry's December 2012 conceptual report. <br /> The report provided conceptual diagrams showing the feasibility for police renovation plans, resulting in a <br /> Design-Build lease back process by the building owner to the City. <br /> Scone of Services <br /> To assist in assuring the functional, operations and cost effectiveness to the City, the City of Decatur has <br /> asked Dewberry to provide limited architectural services, and mechanical, electrical, plumbing and civil <br /> engineering services for the following phases: <br /> A. Criteria Documents Phase <br /> B. Review Final Design Build Documents Phase <br /> C. Construction Support Phase <br /> A. Criteria Documents Phase: <br /> Provide limited architectural services and mechanical,electrical, plumbing and civil engineering services to: <br /> 1. Work with Police and City Administration to confirm the architectural program, site circulation, <br /> utilities, building concept organization, and operational and security requirements. <br />
