15. Performance Evaluations and Reviews. The City agrees to provide to the <br /> Employee periodic performance evaluations on(at least)an annual basis pursuant to specific criteria <br /> developed jointly by the City and Employee and as may be altered or modified by the City thereafter <br /> in consultation with Employee. The City agrees further to provide to the Employee a written <br /> summary of his performance evaluation and provide to the Employee a reasonable opportunity to <br /> discuss his responses thereto with the Council. <br /> The City also acknowledges its desire to define and prioritize periodically, in writing, the <br /> objectives of the City in relation to the duties of the City Manager, as well as to specify reasonable <br /> time limits for the attainment of said objectives. The appropriation of operating capital budgets shall <br /> be made with due regard of such stated objectives in accordance with other needs of the City and <br /> funds available to the City. <br /> The City also agrees to review periodically the salary of the Employee, and the City may <br /> increase said salary if deemed desirable to the City. <br /> Nothing contained herein shall limit the opportunity to evaluate the Employee and the <br /> performance of his duties. <br /> 16. Hours of Work. The parties hereto realize that the duties and responsibilities <br /> of the City Manager require the person holding such position to work weekends, evenings,and other <br /> irregular hours at locations including the administrative offices of the City as well as elsewhere, <br /> during regular business hours and at hours beyond regular working hours. The parties further realize <br /> that such work during irregular hours and at locations other than the administrative offices of the <br /> City is of equal importance to the normal daily duties and responsibilities of the City Manager.Thus, <br /> it is understood and agreed that the Employee shall work the hours necessary for the Employee to <br /> fulfill the requirements and obligations of the City Manager,which hours shall be not less than forty <br /> (40)hours per week. <br /> 17. Other Employment. The Employee shall devote all ofhis time,attention,knowledge <br /> and skills solely to the interests of the City,and the City shall be entitled to all benefits arising from <br /> or incident to all work, services and advice of the Employee during any term hereof. <br /> 18. Reimbursement to the Employee for Moving Expenses. The City agrees to <br /> reimburse the Employee for reasonable moving expenses and related costs and fees, if any, which <br /> are necessarily incurred by the Employee(or on behalf of the Employee)prior to the date ninety(90) <br /> days subsequent to the Effective Date hereof. Said reimbursement (subject to the remaining <br /> provisions hereof) shall be for actual expenses incurred by the Employee in said moving and <br /> relocation including,but not limited to, costs and expenses (including applicable taxes and tariffs) <br /> associated with packing,transport,storage and unpacking of personal property of the Employee,and <br /> other costs associated with the relocation of the Employee, the Employee's family and their <br /> belongings. To obtain such reimbursement,the Employee shall submit to the City a minimum of <br /> two(2)bids for any work or services(for which reimbursement is sought),and the City may require <br /> -8- <br />
