CONTRACT <br /> the temporary pumps and pipe. The cost incurred shall be used to determine if the entire or <br /> reduced amount of the lump sum contract work item shall be paid. <br /> SECTION 33. Phase B—Pump Installation <br /> This work shall be included in the contract unit price per lump sum for Mobilization and <br /> Phase B—Pump Installation, as marked in Exhibit A. The work includes providing and <br /> installing minimum DR 13.5 as shown on the project plans. All PE pipe shall conform to <br /> the current versions of the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction and <br /> the Standard Specifications for Water and Sewer Construction in Illinois. <br /> The pipe shall be placed on the surface of the ground and appropriately anchored to limit <br /> movement. All joints shall be properly welded in accordance with manufacturer <br /> specifications. The entire pipe line shall be properly pigged, flushed, and pressure tested <br /> prior to acceptance. <br /> The pumping system shall be designed to deliver 7000 gpm to the City's raw water pump <br /> station. All power requirements shall be the responsibly of the Contractor. The power <br /> system shall be required to have installed a"hospital grade" muffler. The system shall be <br /> designed with a floating intake and have the ability to fluctuate with the lake elevation a <br /> minimum of 40 feet. <br /> All pumping equipment shall meet ANSI/NSF Standards are required in Section 2.21 of <br /> the Recommends Standards for Water Works. <br /> If work is stopped by the City due to the recovery (filling) of Lake Decatur, the Contractor <br /> shall provide to the City the actual costs incurred during the mobilization and/or setup of <br /> the temporary pumps and pipe. De-Mobilization And Pipe Removal <br /> This work shall be included in the contract unit price per lump sum for De-Mobilization, as <br /> marked in Exhibit A. De-mobilization will consist of the necessary work required to <br /> remove all temporary pipe,temporary pumping equipment, staging areas, restore all <br /> roadside vegetation to original condition, and other work performed or costs incurred to <br /> complete the project. <br /> SECTION 35. Pump Operation <br /> This work shall be included in the contract unit price per Day for Pump Operation, as <br /> marked in Exhibit A. The pumping operation shall be continuous at a rate of 7,000 gpm. <br /> All power/fuel requirements is the responsibility of the Contractor. The Contractor shall <br /> man the pumping site 24 hrs per day during the pumping operation. Stand by pumps shall <br /> be available to be delivered to the site within 36 hours if failure occurs in the prime <br /> pumping system. The pumping system shall have a run timer and pressure gauge so <br /> totalized flow can be estimated. If failure occurs in pumping equipment cost per day shall <br /> be prorated for amount of time actually pumped. <br /> 11 <br />
