ATTACHMENT A <br /> FOR <br /> TASK ORDER NO. 19 <br /> FOR <br /> CONTINUING AGREEMENT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES <br /> Owner: City of Decatur, Illinois <br /> Engineer: Black & Veatch Corporation <br /> Project: South Water Treatment Plant Basin Repairs —Phase 1 <br /> Date: September 6, 2011 <br /> DESCRIPTION OF SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> The scope of services for Task Order No. 19 shall generally consist of the following <br /> tasks: <br /> 1. Prepare and submit to Owner a basis of design memorandum to define the <br /> scope of improvements to be designed by Engineer. <br /> 2. Prepare detailed drawings and technical specifications for the proposed <br /> improvements. Engineer shall submit the drawings and technical specifications to <br /> Owner for review at the 90 percent completion stage, and receive and address <br /> Owner's review comments before finalizing the drawings and specifications. <br /> Owner shall provide front end, contract and bid documents and combine them <br /> with Engineer's final drawings and technical specifications for selection of a <br /> private construction contractor on a competitive bid basis. <br /> 3. Prepare an Opinion of Probable Cost for the proposed improvements to be <br /> submitted to Owner with the final drawings and technical specifications. <br /> 4. Owner shall perform all tasks associated with advertisement and selection of <br /> the construction contractor including distribution of bid packages and addenda to <br /> prospective bidders, except Engineer shall be available to answer questions from <br /> prospective bidders and Owner during the advertisement period. Any other <br /> services required from the Engineer after submittal of final drawings and <br /> technical specifications and before the start of construction shall be considered <br /> Supplemental Services. <br /> 5. After award of a construction contract, review drawings and other data <br /> submitted by the Contractor as required by the construction contract documents. <br /> Engineer's review shall be for general conformity to the drawings and technical <br /> specifications and shall not relieve the Contractor of any of his contractual <br /> responsibilities. Such reviews shall not extend to means, methods, techniques, <br /> sequences, or procedures of construction or to safety precautions and programs <br /> incident thereto. <br /> 2 <br /> City of Decatur Task Order No. 19 <br /> Rev.08-17-11 <br />
