• "�'',c <br /> `� <br /> �`� <br /> DCC wou/d rovide the followin : <br /> P 9 <br /> PROMOTONAL/EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS <br /> DCC will develop and design promotional material geared towards raising awareness and <br /> motivating action within the target audience. <br /> Direct Mailer: to be distributed before the program goes into affect outlining the new program, <br /> the list of recyclabies and the benefits of adopting the sustainable practice <br /> Water Bill Inserts: reminder pieces once a quarter sent with the water bills keeping the program <br /> top of mind with residents <br /> Consumer Video: a simple educational video illustrating the accepted recyclable materials, the <br /> impact on the amount of garbage produced and the environmental impact to the community and <br /> the landfills <br /> Web Page: DCC will create a webpage that would function as part of the Sustainable Decatur <br /> site, integrating the new brand and serving as a"go to" page for all educational materials <br /> regarding the local recycling program, Q & A as well as the consumer video. It wi�l also act as the <br /> communications center including recycling equipment bins requests & delivery. <br /> Internal Signage, POP, flyers: DCC will develop any corresponding signage, POS, Flyers to <br /> consumer education partners to further promote consumer education & awareness. <br /> ADVERTISING: <br /> Media Plan: DCC will develop a 6 month media plan and budget for all locations thereby creating , <br /> a comprehensive, centralized effort to maximize buying efficiencies, increase market reach and , <br /> effectiveness and contract the best rates. '�I <br /> Advertisina : DCC will work with the City of Decatur to develop a cohesive media education <br /> outreach plan for their the recycling program. DCC would provide creative concepts, ad design, <br /> copy writing, production facilitation and placement. <br /> III. COMMUNITY RELATIONS/SPECIAL EVENTS <br /> DCC will work to create and initiate grass roots efforts to create awareness and maximize <br /> community participation in the new recycling program. We will also work to create <br /> opportunities to engage the public as well as local media in activities leading to promotion of <br /> services and the environmental impact, both immediate and future. <br /> New Program Launch: DCC will coordinate and implement the launch of the new recycling <br /> program to the community. Components of this launch can include, but not be limited to: <br /> • Press materials; release, fact sheets, photos <br /> • Launch event (s) <br /> o The week prior to the first recycle pick up date, DCC will coordinate live <br /> radio remotes in both morning and afternoon drive to promote program <br /> and hand out pick up bins <br />
