Test all electrical and mechanical interlock systems for correct operation and sequencing. <br /> Verify correct barrier and shutter installation and operation. <br /> Exercise all active components and confirm correct operation of all indicating devices. <br /> . Inspect contactors: <br /> • Verify mechanical operation. <br /> • Inspect and adjust contact gap, wipe, alignment and pressure in accordance with <br /> manufacturer's published data. <br /> . Lubrication. <br /> . Verify appropriate contact lubricant on moving current-carrying parts. <br /> • Verify appropriate lubrication on moving and sliding surfaces. <br /> Electrical Tests <br /> • Pertorm insulation resistance tests at 500 volts dc on all control wiring. For units with solid- <br /> state components, follow manufacturer's recommendations. <br /> . Pertorm system function test, as applicable. <br /> . Perform insulation-resistance test on contactor(s), phase-to-ground, phase-to-phase, and <br /> across the open contacts for one minute. <br /> • Perform vacuum bottle integrity test (over-potential), if applicable, across each vacuum <br /> bottle with the contacts in the open position in strict accordance with manufacturer's published <br /> data. Do not exceed maximum voltage stipulated for this test. <br /> • PerForm a contact-resistance test. <br /> • Verify tightness of power fuses. <br /> • Energize contactor in test position using an auxiliary source, where applicable. <br /> Siemens Responsibility <br /> • Provide required safety equipment, and documentation upon request. <br /> • Provide a report including findings and test data upon completion of work. <br /> Customer Responsibility <br /> • Make all equipment available including removal from service,switching, and operation of <br /> equipment(opening and closing of breakers, switches, etc.) and de-energizing as <br /> required to electrically isolate equipment and permit a continuous progression of work. <br /> • Provide lighted areas for setup and use of test equipment. <br /> • Provide 120VAC power for test equipment. <br /> • Provide the services of a Project Coordinator or Plant Electrical Engineer to assist <br /> Siemens in developing an organized sequence of work and to advise of safety <br /> requirements and lockout procedures. <br /> • Remove any obstacles to allow access to the equipment outlined in this proposal <br /> • Coordinate with utility to schedule any outages. <br /> Siemens Energy 8� Automation, Inc. <br /> Process Solutions Division 2220 W Altorfer Dr. Tel: (309)696-0535 www.sea.siemens.com/engineer <br /> Industrial Services Business Unit Peoria,IL 61615 Fax:(678)297-8535 <br />
