Exhibit A <br /> H. Prepare a cost estimate for railroad related work for the recommended alternative. The cost <br /> estimate will include Contractor costs and railroad force account costs. <br /> Task OQ500—Traffic Maintenance Analvsis <br /> The following will be performed as part of the traffic maintenance analysis: <br /> 1. Review previously obtained data including traffic counts, crash history, and operating speeds. <br /> 2. Consider construction of the underpass alternate at the NS crossing: <br /> A. Perform analysis of traffic impacts. Determine if it will be feasible to maintain traffic along <br /> Brush College Road during construction of an underpass. <br /> B. Develop traffic maintenance alternatives. If required, consider detour options,traffic impacts <br /> and adverse travel of detour route. <br /> C. Evaluate accommodation of pedestrians and bicyclists during construction. <br /> D. Evaluate need for wide-load detour. <br /> 3. Consider construction of the overpass alternate at the NS crossing: <br /> A. Perform analysis of traffic impacts. Consider stage construction. <br /> B. Develop traffic maintenance alternatives. Consider stage construction. <br /> C. Evaluate accommodation of pedestrians and bicyclists during construction. <br /> D. Evaluate need for wide-load detour. <br /> 4. Coordinate with local officials and businesses. <br /> 5. Prepare MOT summary for selected alternate. Summary to include the following: <br /> A. Summary statement <br /> B. Traffic characteristics including expected ADT during construction, functional classification <br /> of road and percentage breakdown far each vehicular type <br /> C. Provide design information of lane reductions and roadway detours <br /> D. List alternatives and recommendation <br /> E. Prepare for planning and review meetings <br /> F. Address summary review comments and prepare final summary <br /> Task 00600—Structure Studies <br /> 1. The following will be performed as part of a structures study for the alternative of a railroad bridge <br /> carrying the NS railroad yard over Brush College Road: <br /> A. Develop railroad structural design criteria for bridge—based on NS and AREMA <br /> requirements. <br /> B. Establish the number and length of spans. Due to the number of tracks involved, only a deck <br /> girder structural system will be considered. <br /> C. Determine layout far stage construction of the underpass. The initial concept will investigate <br /> the feasibiliry of constructing an "advanced"underpass structure,just south of the existing <br /> underpass, and shifting a portion of the existing tracks to that structure.
