• � . <br /> TIRE LEASE AGREEMENT <br /> This Agreement is made and entered into by and between the CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS, <br /> a municipal corporation in the state of Illinois, hereinafter referred to as the "City", and <br /> BRIDGESTONE AMERICAS TIRE OPERATIONS, LLC, a Delaware Limited Liability <br /> Company with its principal offices in Nashville, Tennessee, hereinafter referred to as the <br /> "Contractor". Any proposed change in this Agreement shall be submitted to the City of Decatur <br /> for its prior approval. <br /> l. TERM OF AGREEMENT <br /> This Agreement shall become and be effective as of July 1, 2009, and shall continue in effect <br /> through June 30, 2014. <br /> 2. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE <br /> This Agreement is subject to the funding and approval of the US Department of Transportation, <br /> Federal Transit Administration(FTA) and the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), and <br /> is subject to financial assistance contracts between the City of Decatur and the Illinois Department <br /> of Transportation and the US Department of Transportation, Federal Transit Administration. <br /> 3. COMMUNICATIONS <br /> For purposes of this agreement, all notices and other communications shall be addressed to the <br /> respective parties as follows: <br /> CITY CONTRACTOR <br /> The City of Decatur, Illinois Bridgestone Americas <br /> #1 Gary K. Bragg, Contract Administrator <br /> No oral or electronic communication shall be considered to be official until and unless it is I <br /> confirmed in writing. 'I <br /> 4. SCOPE OF SERVICES '', <br /> The City agrees to lease from the Contractor, and the Contractor agrees to lease to the City such <br /> number of tires of the sizes and types as may be sufficient and required to keep all of the City's <br /> transit coaches and trolley replica coaches fully equipped and to provide an adequate reserve <br /> supply; provided, however,that the City shall have the right, upon thirty (30) days written notice <br /> to the Contractor,to equip up to five percent (5%) of its coaches with tires obtained from other <br /> suppliers, for testing purposes. <br /> Decatur Public Transit System 1 Tire Lease Agreement <br />
