to act�as City Manager pursuant to the terms of § 5-3-7 of the Illinois Municipal Code (65 ILCS <br /> 5%5-3-7 (2006)), as such provision exists currently, or may be amend d hereafter, subject to the <br /> rights of the parties to terminate this Agreement as is more particular y provided in §14 of this <br /> Agreement. After this period, Employee shall return to the position o Assistant City Manager of <br /> Public Services. <br /> 2. EMPLOYEE'S DUTIES. During the period of emplo ment as described herein, <br /> Employee shall perform the duties and possess the responsibilities o City Manager as set forth <br /> within the applicable statutes of the State of Illinois, and more specifi ally § 5-3-7 of the Illinois <br /> Municipal Code, (65 ILCS 5/5-3-7 (2006), as said provision now e ists, or may be amended <br /> hereafter, and all ordinances lawfully enacted pursuant thereto, to ether with all other such <br /> duties and responsibilities as the City Council may lawfully assign to mployee. <br /> 3. OTHER EMPLOYMENT. Employee shall devote a 1 of his time, attention, <br /> knowledge, and skills solely to the interest of the City, and the City s all be entitled to all of the <br /> benefits arising from or incident to all work, services, and advice of E ployee. <br /> 4. OATH AND BOND. Employee agrees to provide an oat and provide a bond, with <br /> surety, as required by § 5-3-9 of the Illinois Municipal Code (65 ILC 5/5-3-9 (2006)). <br /> 5. HOURS OF WORK. The parties realize that the duties d responsibilities of the <br /> acting City Manager require the person holding such position to wor weekends, evenings, and <br /> other irregular hours at locations including the administrative offic s of the City, as well as <br /> elsewhere, during regular business hours, and at hours beyond reg lar working hours. The <br /> parties further realize that such work during at irregular hours and at ther locations are of equal <br /> importance to the normal daily duties and responsibilities of the a ting City Manager which <br /> would be performed at the administrative offices of the City.
