TELE
-SCAN, INC.
TELEVISED PIPELINE INSPECTION
6275 East Rt. 36 • Decatur, IL 62521 • 217/864-2940
7' Ward
The 7`h Ward Sewer starts in the area of Leafland and Church, traveling south
west for approximately 2 miles, down Van Dyke, crossing Eldorado and Oakland,
through Millikin University into Fairview Park and on to the Sanitary District
Utilities. As this sewer travels through Millikin it splits into finro separate pipes, a
72" and a 50". Both pipes travel underneath Griswold Physical Education Center
& Kirkland Fine Arts Center. This critical sewer services approximately 800 Acres
of residential 8 commercial sanitary systems. TSI has televised 98% of this
system due to buried MH's and a few areas of heavy debris.
A few areas' of Minor Structural damage have been found.
No major structural damage has been found at this time although there are areas
of infiltration through joints and a few minor areas of structural damage. There
are approximately 56 MH structures in this system.
Lake Shore Drive Sewer
The Lake Shore Drive critical sewer starts in the Area of 21St & Cantrell traveling
south through the St. Mary's Hospital Campus, out to Lake Shore Drive, following
Lake Shore Drive west ending around the City of Decatur water treatment facility
as it enters the Sanitary District Utilities. This system varies in size from 36" to
84" and varies in Depth from 10' to 50'. TSI has Televised 60% of this system so
far, heavy debris levels around the Jasper St. area have been found but we
believe this is limited to a 200' to 500' stretch of pipe. No major structural
damage has been found in the 60% televised. There are 30 MH Structures in this
system varying in Depth from 10' to 50'. No MH Inspections have been done as
of yet.
