- 5 - <br /> 3. The initial term of the license will be from April l, 2008 through March 31, 2029. <br /> Thereafter, this license shall automatically renew annually, and shall be in full force and effect <br /> on a year-to-year basis, for so long as said improvements are continued in service and have not <br /> been abandoned or discontinued by the City, its successors or assigns. However, either party <br /> may tertninate this license at any time after March 31, 2029 by providing thirty(30) days'written <br /> notice to the other party. In the event the University should need the property for an educational- <br /> related purpose, the University and City agree to share equally in the cost of relocating the <br /> improvements at any time after the end of the initial term. <br /> 4. The City agrees that all construction and maintenance done pursuant to this <br /> license shall be performed by the City at its own expense and in�substantial compliance with the <br /> Project Report to be submitted to, and approved by, the Federal Highway Administration and the <br /> Illinois Department of Transportation. The University may perform shrub and flower <br /> maintenance as it deems reasonable. I <br /> 5 The City agrees, at its own expense, to repair any and all injury or damage that ' <br /> may be caused to the University's property which arises out of or is in any way connected with <br /> the conduct of construction or maintenance operations by the City or its contractors or agents. If <br /> the University's land is disturbed by exercise of any rights granted herein, the City shall restore <br /> the surface of said land to its grade and re-establish grass by seeding on any area used as lawn. <br /> The City will remove all construction-related debris and material from the University's land. The <br /> City will be liable for soil compaction caused by the City construction equipment within the <br /> license area. Ingress and egress to the license area shall be from the road right-of-way. <br /> 6. In connection with this Project, the University agrees to relocate the two (2) brick- <br /> and-slate signs (for the Perkinson Music Center and ADM-Scovill Hall, respectively)which are <br />
