: . w <br /> ATTACHMENT 1 <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> BROWNFIELD REDEVELOPMENT GRANT <br /> Task 1 —Preparation and Submission of Project Documents <br /> The first phase of the Project will consist of the preparation and submission of <br /> documentation required under the Illinois EPA Site Remediation Program (SRP). These <br /> documents include the following: <br /> 1. SRP Application and Services Agreement (DRM-1) Form requesting a <br /> Comprehensive No Further Remediation (NFR). <br /> 2. Preparation of the Site Investigation Work Plan containing the Sampling <br /> and Analysis Plan. <br /> 3. Submission of the Site Investigation Work Plan and SRP Form (DRM-2) <br /> requesting a Comprehensive NFR. <br /> The documents will provide copies of relevant historical information to include the Phase <br /> I Environmental Site Assessment, Phase II Environmental Site Assessment and additional <br /> information gathered to support the activities identified in the documents. The Site <br /> Investigation Work Plan will include the requirements specified in 35 IAC 740.415 and <br /> 740.420. For planning purposes, the Illinois EPA review and approval has been <br /> estimated at ninety (90) days. <br /> Task 2 —Field Activities for Location of USTs and Assessment of Release <br /> Following approval of the investigation documents, the field activities specified in the <br /> documents will be implemented. Based upon the information available at this time, the <br /> following activities are planned: <br /> 1. Limited investigation/assessment activities to locate the Underground Storage <br /> Tanks (USTs) or former locations of the USTs. <br /> 2. Focused site investigation to detertnine if a release has occurred; and, if so <br /> assess the concentration of indicator contaminants at the source area. <br /> 3. If USTs are present, determine the size of the USTs, volume of liquid <br /> remaining in the USTs and obtain samples for waste profile analysis. <br />
