21. Owner's Responsibilities. <br /> a. The Owner shall, at the appropriate stage after the execution of this Contract,but <br /> prior to the initiation of the Work, make color choices and other discretionary selection <br /> of materials. Subsequent to such choices and selections, there shall be no change in such <br /> selections that would materially alter or interfere with the progress of Work by the <br /> Contractor. <br /> b. The Owner shall not assume the role of inspector and shall report all complaints <br /> " or problems to the Contractor and, if appropriate,report them to any subcontractor or <br /> other workers performing Work on the Property. <br /> c. The Owner shall notify the Sponsor and the Contractor in writing of all breaches <br /> of the Contract by the Contractor, any subcontractor or other workers. <br /> d. The Owner shall not authorize Change Orders without prior written authorization <br /> from the Sponsor, and only as provided in Paragraph 6 hereof. <br /> 22. Certificate of Insurance. <br /> a. The Contractor, prior to execution of the contract shall obtain and keep in force <br /> the following insurance coverages, provided by insurance companies acceptable to the <br /> City and authorized to transact business under the laws of the State of Illinois. The <br /> insurance companies providing coverage shall be rated in the Best's Key Rating Guide. <br /> The City will not accept companies with a rating not lower than A-. Companies rated A- <br /> or better shall have a financial size category of not less than VI. Coverage limits shall be <br /> written at less than the minimum specified in this section. Higher minimum limits and <br /> additional coverage may be specified by a special condition elsewhere in the contract. <br /> 1. Workers Compensation and Employers Liabilitv: <br /> . Workers compensation..insurance shall be provided according to the provisions of <br /> the Illinois Workers' Compensation Act, as amended. <br /> Employers Liability <br /> a. Each Accident $500,000 <br /> b. Disease -policy limit $500,000 <br /> c. Disease - each employee $500,000 <br /> 2. Commercial General Liabilitv: <br /> General Aggregate Limit $2,000,000 <br /> Products-Completed Operations Aggregate Limit $2,000,000 <br /> Each Occurrence Limit $1,000,000 <br /> Insurance shall be written in the occurrence form and shall provide coverage <br /> Page 9 of 22 <br />
