 Task 7: Project Report
MWH will document results of the study in a project report comprised to a large degree of deliverables
associated with previous project tasks. It is anticipated that the study report will contain the following
sections:
1. Introduction
2. Basis for Selection of Off-Stream Storage as the Preferred Water Supply Improvement Option
(deliverable from Task 2)
3. Design Basis for an Off-Stream Storage Reservoir(deliverable from Sub-task 3.4)
4. Design Basis for a new Dredge Disposal Facility(deliverable from Sub-task 3.5)
5. Development of Siting Options(deliverable from Task 4)
6. Evaluation of Facility Siting Scenarios
7. Recommendations and Conclusions
8. Appendices
As the project moves forward, MWH will develop more detailed outlines of the report for review with the
City. Interim deliverables will also be provided to the City and the WRAC for review as the project
proceeds.
Upon completion of Tasks 5 and 6,MWH will submit a draft of sections 6,7 and 8 from the list above for
review by City staff and the WRAC. MWH will attend a meeting with City staff and the WRAC to present
and review these report sections. Following receipt of comments from this meeting,MWH will prepare a
final project report for submittal to the City.
Task 8: Project Manaement
The MWH Project Manager will be responsible for overall coordination and management of tasks associated
with this effort. The Project Manager will monitor physical progress toward completion of technical tasks
as well as project expenditures and budget. The Project Manager's efforts will be focused on expediting
completion of key tasks according to the project schedule and budget, facilitating reviews of project efforts
for quality by the Technical Review Team, and identifying and communicating to the Client any issues that
arise that may impact project progress.
Examples of project management activities include:
• Ongoing coordination between members of the MWH Team and City staff;
• Weekly monitoring of project charges;
• Bi-weekly phone discussions of project status with a primary point of contact at the City (Keith
Alexander);
• Monthly review of project staffing,budget, schedule and billings;
• Monthly progress/coordination meetings with City staff; and
• Periodic coordination of QA/QC reviews by Senior Technical Review staff.
Project Deliverables
The scope of services for this project is structured so that individual elements of the final project feasibility
report will be prepared in draft form and submitted to the City for review as the project proceeds.
Comments on report elements will be addressed as appropriate during each stage of the assignment so that
the majority of the final report has been reviewed prior to the final stages of the project.
14
Consulting Services(CPFF)(Rev. 1-14-2003)
