Outdoor storage and display of <br /> merchandise is a common practice. Ancillary activities include storage, rental, service, repair <br /> work, and sale of replacement parts and accessories. This definition includes the following <br /> uses: Auto/Truck Dealer; Motorcycle Dealer; Lawnmower and Lawn Equipment Dealer; <br /> Boat Dealer; Recreational VehicleBus Dealer; Construction Equipment Dealer;Used Car <br /> Dealer. ' <br /> AUTOMOTNE SALVAGE OPER.ATION: Automotive business operations engaged in the <br /> purchase, collection, accumulation, or storage of inoperable automotive equipment including <br /> but not limited to automobiles, trucks,buses,motorcycles, and other minor vehicles or parts <br /> thereof primarily for the purpose of reselling the material so accumulated or parts thereof. <br /> AUTOMOTNE STORAGE YARD: A tract of land used for the collection, accumulation or <br /> storage of damaged, towed, abandoned, or repossessed automotive equipment including but <br /> not limited to automobiles, trucks,buses,motorcycles and other motor vehicles or parts <br /> thereof,but excluding businesses such as public garages, service stations, or dealerships <br /> which temporarily store automotive equipment in the course of the repair or sale of the same <br /> and for which such storage is secondary or incidental to the primary purposes of such <br /> businesses. <br /> BAR OR COCKTAIL LOUNGE: Premises used primarily for the sale or dispensing of liquor � <br /> by the drink for on-site consumption and where food may be made available for on-premises <br /> consumption as accessory to the principal use. The term Tavern is included in this definition. <br /> BASEMENT: A story completely or partly underground. A basement shall be counted as a <br /> story if subdivided and used for dwelling or business purposes, other than for the quarters of <br /> a watchman or janitor. For purposes of this Ordinance,the term Cellar is synonymous with <br /> that of Basement. <br /> BASE FLOOD: The flood event having a one-percent probability of being equaled or exceeded <br /> in any given year. This event is also known as the 100-year flood. <br /> BASE FLOOD ELEVATION(BFE): The height of water in relation to mean sea level at the <br /> crest of the base flood. <br /> BED AND BREAKFAST ESTABLISHMENT: An owner-occupied residence that provides <br /> sleeping accommodations and breakfasts on a short-term basis for paying customers and that <br /> conforms to 50 ILCS 820 Illinois Compiled Statutes. A bed and breakfast establishment may <br /> have no more than five (5) sleeping rooms for guests, and only breakfast may be served. <br /> BLOCK: A tract of land bounded by streets, or by a combinations of streets and public parks, <br /> cemeteries, railroad rights-of-way, shorelines of waterways, or boundary lines of <br /> municipalities. <br /> BOARDING OR LODGING HOUSE: A building other than a hotel where, for compensation <br /> and by arrangement, lodging or lodging and meals are provided for three (3) or more persons. � <br /> 4 <br />
