This definition does not include sales of automotive fuels or � <br /> services (see Automobile Service Station; Gasoline Station). <br /> CONVE1vIENCE FOOD AND BEVERAGE STORE,EXTENDED HOURS: A convenience <br /> food and beverage store as herein defined which is open for business any time during the <br /> period from 11:00 PM to 5:00 AM, including those businesses open for 24 hours. <br /> COUNCIL: The City Council of the City of Decatur. <br /> COUNTRY CLUB: A large area, including buildings, containing recreational facilities, <br /> clubhouse and accessory uses, frequently including a golf course, and open only to members <br /> and their guests for a membership fee. Occasionally these facilities may be leased to <br /> nonmembers outsiders for banquets,weddings, or other social engagements. <br /> CREMATORY or CREMATORIUM: An establishment containing a furnace for the reduction <br /> by burning of human remains. <br /> CULTURAL FACILITIES, PRIVATE: Facilities in public or private ownership for the <br /> maintenance, of historic, educational, or artistic interest, including animal or reptile exhibits, <br /> arboreta, art galleries, aquariums,botanical or zoological gardens, historical sites, landmarks, <br /> or shrines; libraries,museums, opera and drama houses,playhouses and community theaters, <br /> . planetariums, and zoos. This category does not include motion picture theaters or <br /> establishments that specialize in entertainment with an adult theme. <br /> CUTOFF ANGLE - The angle formed by a line drawn from the direction of the light rays at a <br /> light source and a line perpendicular to the ground from the light source,beyond which no <br /> light is emitted. � <br /> DAY CARE HOME: A private residence wherein the owners residing thereon provide care less <br /> than 24 hours per day for no more than three additional minor children other than any <br /> children related to the owner by blood,mamage or adoption. <br /> DAY CARE CENTER: A business licensed by the State of Illinois where three or more minor <br /> children aze cared for less than 24 hours per day. <br /> DANCING OR MLTSIC ACADEMY: An establishment that offers vocal, instrumental, or <br /> dancing lessons or instructions. Social dancing may also be offered for no more than forty <br /> (40)persons at any time. <br /> DECK: An open structure,which may or may not have a roof but is otherwise open to the <br /> elements, that is designed for outdoor enjoyment and is a minimum of six (6) inches above <br /> grade. Any deck attached to the main building is subject to the area and setback <br /> requirements of the main building. Any deck that is detached is subject to the area and <br /> setback requirements for accessory structures. <br /> DEVELOPMENT: Any man-made change to real estate, exclusive of maintenance of existing <br /> buildings and facilities; resurfacing roads; or gardening,plowing, and similar practices that <br /> do not involve filling, grading, or construction of levees.
