<br /> the City of Decatur, for approval.
<br /> POLICY REVIEW COMMITTEE: An informal advisory body to the City Manager, consisting
<br /> of City management personnel that advises the City Manager on policy matters relating to
<br /> applications for subdivision of land, annexations,planned unit developments, and other land
<br /> use changes.
<br /> PRE-EXISTING TOWERS AND ANTENNA: Any tower or antenna for which a permit has
<br /> been issued prior to the effective date of these regulations and is exempt from the
<br /> requirements of these regulations so long as the tower or antennas are not modified or
<br /> changed. �
<br /> PROFESSIONAL OFFICE USE: Establishment primarily engaged in providing business
<br /> services to other businesses and individuals,not including health care services. Professional
<br /> office uses are generally categorized into professional business establishments that
<br /> customarily occupy standard office space and do not require outdoor storage of supplies or
<br /> use of vehicles other than automobiles and small vans. Examples of these business
<br /> establishments include the offices of accountants, auditors,bookkeepers, appraisers,
<br /> architects, attorneys, commercial artists and photographers, consultants, draftspersons,
<br /> engineers, real estate brokers and agents, clerical and stenographic services, travel agencies, '
<br /> and cable television and utility business offices.
<br /> PUBLIC IlVIPROVEMENT : Any drainage ditch,roadway,parkway, sidewalk,pedestrian way,
<br /> � tree, off-street parking area, lot improvement, or other facility for which the local
<br /> government may ultimately assume the responsibility for maintenance and operation, or
<br /> which may affect the improvement for which City responsibility is established.
<br /> PUBLIC PROPERTY: Any real property, easement, air-space, or other interest in real estate,
<br /> • including a street, owned by, or subject, to the jurisdiction of the City or any other
<br /> governmental unit.
<br /> PUBLIC UTILITY FACILITIES: Buildings or above-ground structures required to provide
<br /> public utility services including electricity,telephone, cable TV,natural gas,water,
<br /> sewerage, solid waste, and resource recovery. For purposes of this ordinance, there are three
<br /> categories of public utility facilities, as follows:
<br /> Neighborhood: Natural gas or water regulation station;Pumping station; Telephone and
<br /> electrical distribution system; Transmission or metering station.
<br /> Regional: Electric substation; Water treatment facility; Solid waste lift station.
<br /> System: Sewage disposal or treatment facility; Electric power generation plant; Sanitary landfill;
<br /> Resource recovery facility such as incinerators for the generation of energy from waste
<br /> materials.
<br /> RADIO AND TELEVISION STATION: A building, structure, or premises primarily engaged in
<br /> the staging,production, and recording of radio or television programs. This definition does
<br /> not include radio or television transmission or microwave towers.
<br /> � RECREATION, COMMERCIAL: A facility operated as a business and open to the public for a
<br /> fee. Swim clubs are not included in this definition.. This definition covers the following:
<br /> Amusement arcades or establishments that primarily provide coin- or token-operated devices
