4.0 SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> 4.1 OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE'S RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> The OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE will not function as an engineer, architect or <br /> construction contractor on this project,but will coordinate with the CITY and with <br /> engineers, architects and construction contractors hired by the CITY for this project. <br /> Blank, Wesselink Cook Construction Managers, Inc., agrees to serve as the"Owner's <br /> Representative" for the CITY, and to perform the work listed below during, and in <br /> conjunction with, the construction of the FACILITY: <br /> A. To inspect all phases of construction for adherence to the approved engineering and <br /> architectural plans and specifications; <br /> B. To inspect building materials for adherence to the approved engineering and <br /> architectural plans and specifications; <br /> C. To review the qualifications of all construction firms and subcontractors; <br /> D. To endeavor to ensure that all applicable regulations (i.e. prevailing wage rates, DBE <br /> requirements, etc.) are met; <br /> E. To review changes/change orders to the approved plans and specifications, as <br /> necessary; <br /> F. To negotiate with the construction contractor(s) and subcontractors, as necessary; <br /> G. To provide construction administration; <br /> H. To give prompt written notice to the CITY whenever the OWNER'S ' <br /> REPRESENTATIVE becomes aware of any development which would adversely affect <br /> the quality of, or the time of completion of the project, and which cannot or will not be � <br /> resolved by the building contractor. ', <br /> I. To meet with the CITY on a bi-weekly schedule, and at other times requested by the <br /> CITY,to discuss the project; and <br /> J. Other tasks, as directed by the CITY, to ensure that the construction and site <br /> development of the multi-modal transportation facility meet or exceed the approved <br /> engineering and architectural plans and specifications. <br /> The work listed above is further described and defined by Article 2 of AIA B801/CMa, <br /> which is incorporated into this section by reference, with the exception of the following <br /> sections and subsections which are expressly excluded: section 2.2, and subsections <br /> 2.3.9, 2.3.10, 2.3.17, 2.3.20, 2.3.22 and 2.3.23 <br /> Decatur Public Ti�ansit System <br /> Owner's Representative 3 <br />
