All storage yards shall be paved with a minimum of two (2) inches of all-weather surface <br /> (such as white rock), or an equivalent surface approved by the Department of Engineering <br /> and Infrastructure. <br /> c. All driveways and aisle ways used for traffic circulation shall be paved with a minimum <br /> of two (2)inches of Class I asphalt over a six (6)inch aggregate base; <br /> d. The Fire Department will require a 24-hour access lock to the property, this should be <br /> coordinated through the o�ce of the Fire Marshall. <br /> Mr. Naber stated that the Zoning Ordinance requires an eight (8)foot fence although the subject <br /> fence is six (6)feet in height with two (2)feet of barbed wire at the top which is similar to <br /> several other fences around town. Mr. Van Steenhuyse stated that the ordinance does stipulate <br /> the height of a fence but does not require eertain types of construction materials. The fence is <br /> presently eight(8)feet in height and petitioner will put the dividers in place. The barbed wire is <br /> considered part of the fence. <br /> Mr. Nordholm asked if plywood or another unconventional method could be used to cover the <br /> fence. Mr. Van Steenhuyse stated that petitioner could request or propose another method. In <br /> this instance, the petitioner indicates using the inserts. <br /> Mr. Nordholm asked if the side of the property by the railroad would be fenced as well and Mrs. <br /> Stewart answered yes, all of the property would be fenced. <br /> Mrs. Melissa McDermith, petitioner, was present and spoke for the petition stating that she is one <br /> of the owners of the business and would answer any questions. <br /> Mr. Nordholm asked if all the vehicles presenfly at that location now are for the McDermith's <br /> operation. Mrs. McDermith answered yes and stated that the lot is not used for another purpose. <br /> Cars are moved within thirty (30)days. <br /> Mr. Anderson asked how many cars are on the lot. Mrs.McDermith stated there are <br /> approximately 35 cars at any given time. <br /> Mr. Smith asked if the lot is grass. Mrs.McDermith stated that the lot is rock and concrete. In <br /> some places the grass is growing up through the rocks. <br /> Mr. Smith asked the southern bound r <br /> a y of the Near North pro�ect. Mr.Krieger answered for all <br /> intents and purposes the southern boundary is Central Avenue. <br /> There were no objectors present. <br /> It was moved and seconded(Naber/Sands)to forward Cal. No. 02-53 to City Council for <br /> approval per staff recommendation. Motion carried unanimously. <br />
