registration fees for training programs offered by such organizations, and travel and incidental <br /> costs relating to attendance at such programs or the conferences and meetings of such <br /> organizations. It is specifically understood that such activities are to be undertaken by <br /> Employee, at her option, but at the request of the City, and shall be considered as part of the <br /> duties of Employee hereunder. Employee shall be reimbursed for other reasonable expenses as <br /> the City shall approve by lawful action of the City Council. <br /> 11. GROUP MEDICAL INSURANCE BENEFITS. The City shall, subject to the <br /> limitations provided for herein, provide Employee with group life insurance, and employee and <br /> dependent health, hospitalization, and dental coverage in accordance with such benefits provided <br /> other management employees of the City. Notwithstanding the foregoing, it is agreed and <br /> understood that the City may, at its sole option, modify, or eliminate said insurance or benefits, <br /> or any portions thereof, provided that Employee is treated no differently than other management <br /> employees of the City. <br /> 12. PUBLIC OFFICIAL LIABILITY INSURANCE AND REPRESENTATION BY <br /> LEGAL COIJNSEL. The City may provide Employee with public official liability insurance in <br /> accordance with such provided for other officers of the City. In addition, if the Employee is <br /> named or made a party to any action, claim, or demand in any court or administrative tribunal for <br /> any claim, cause of action, suit, or demand, except for criminal, traffic, misdemeanor, or petty <br /> offenses,which arise from her actions or conduct as an employee of the City, the City shall select <br /> and compensate an attorney who shall provide a defense for Employee, unless the City Council <br /> determines that said Employee was acting outside of the scope of her duties when engaged in the <br /> actual conduct which forms the basis of the suit. <br /> 5 <br />
