, `
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT MEMORANDUM
No. 99-172
July 15, 1999
TO: Honorable Mayor Terry M. Howley and City Council Members
FROM: James L. Williayity Manager
Cecil A. Collins, Jr.;Director of Community Development
MForgey, Senior Planneri}
l
SUB7ECT: Petition of Steve Horve, Jr. for approval of a revised R-3 residential Planned Unit
Development located at the corner of Fulton and Albany Avenues
This is a 17.5 acre parcel. The petitioner requests and amendment to an approved Planned Unit
Development(PUD) at the southwest corner of Fulton and Albany Avenues. The applicant
proposes no change in the underlying R-3 zoning. Specifically, the applicant proposes to revise
their plan for 15 fourplex units with a clubhouse to 9 fourplex units, 10 duplex units, 6 fiveplex '
units and a clubhouse. This petition, if granted, would result in a land use change which will not !
alter the overall use of the land and would allow the applicant to respond to a perceived change in
the market for his product. This application calls for a net decrease of four(4)units from the
previously approved PUD
Staff recommends approval of this petition as proposed.
