corridor will be established between this fence and the Jasper Street Right-of-Way to provide an
aesthetic visual buffer to the Jsper Street frontage. It is not considered that other boundaries of the
site warrant extra-ordinary perimeter treatment other than security fencing.
In recognition of the prevailing westerly winds and the impact of fine aggregate, in addition to the
15 foot high fence, a watering sprinkler system will be installed on the site to water down all
aggregate ground surfaces and stockpiles during the night time to mitigate the impact of blowing .
dust to adjacent properties.
Two entrances onto Jasper Street aze proposed;the southern aligned with the south entrance into the
Decatur Maintenance Garage on the east side of Jasper and the northern sufficiently offset from an
extension of Cherches Drive.
The truck trc using the site is anticipated to be interspersed throughout a normal business day and
thus have minimal impacts to the A.M. and P.M.peak vehicular trc on the existing 4-lane Jasper
Street, a major arterial designation on the Decatur Roadway System Plan. All aggregate trucks
exiting the site will go through a wheel washing station to remove mud from the wheels and
undercarriage of the trucks and thus have minimal tracking onto Jasper Street. Additionally, Jasper
Street will be swept by a private street sweeping operation on a regulaz and as-need basis.
With typical business operations only on regular business days and normal operating hours, lighting
will be limited to security lighting only. All perimeters will be secured at night with gates at the
entrances to prohibit vehiculaz entry and discourage pedestrian intruders.
It is anticipated that no variances from the Decatur land development codes will be necessary from
factors known at this time. Storm water detention is intended to be on-site with a dry basin
developed within the guidelines and constraints of the City of Decatur Storm Drainage Policy. The
general locations of the detention basin is shown on Exhibit C.
