Chapter 60 <br /> previous employment, whether married or single, whether or not he has ever been convicted of a <br /> felony or misdemeanor, whether or not he has ever been previously licensed as a driver or <br /> chauffeur, and if so, when and by what authority, whether or not his license has ever been revoked <br /> or suspended, and if so, for what cause, how many accidents he has been in the last three years <br /> while driving an automobile, and, if any, dates and places of same, which statement must be <br /> signed and sworn to by the applicant and filed with the Chief of Police and kept as permanent <br /> record. Such application must have endorsed upon it the approval or disapproval of the Chief of <br /> Police. Any false statements made by the applicant for a taxicab driver's license may sl�a� be <br /> promptly reported to the State's Attorney of Macon County, Illinois, by the E�;��� Chief <br /> of Police; <br /> (g) No applicant shall be granted a taacicab driver's license unless he shall have, in the <br /> opinion of the Chief of Police, after examination, a satisfactory knowledge of traffic laws and <br /> regulations of the City and of its geogaphy; <br /> I (h) No applicant shall be granted a taxicab driver's license as required by this Chapter <br /> until such person shall have obtained from the State of Illinois a license for the purpose of or <br /> pernutting the transporting of persons for compensation in a motor vehicle of the first division. <br /> (i) No applicant shall be granted a taxicab driver's license as required by this Chapter if <br /> such person has, within the three (3)years immediately preceding the date of application, been <br /> convicted of a Class 2 or greater felony(as described in the Illinois "Criminal Code of 1961'; or <br /> any felony involving the use of a dangerous weapon, or similarly described offense under the <br /> laws of any State or the Federal government). No applicant shall be granted a taxicab driver's <br /> license if such person has made any false statement of facts on his or her application of taxicab <br /> driver's license. <br />
