Section 10. Loads Rejected <br /> The Contractor may downgrade any loads received from a Mauler if the load appears to be more <br /> than 10% but less that 30% Residuals. There will be no rebate for downgraded loads. Loads <br /> that appear to have more than 30% residuals �vill be rejected and disposal charbes char�;ed to the <br /> Hauler. <br /> The Contractor shall immediately notify the City's Contract Manager if a load received from one <br /> of the City's authorized Haulers appears to have a non recyclable contamination rate higher than <br /> 30 percent. The City reserves the right to have a representative inspect the laad for <br /> contamination. IF the City is unable to send a representative to inspect the load, photos shall be <br /> provided ta the City via email showing overalf load, contaminants and truck number of the load <br /> within 2 hours of the occurrence. The Contractor has the option of keeping the load, if they so <br /> choose. <br /> If recyclable material is rejected at market due to contamination or not fulfilling current rnarket <br /> specifications, the Contractor must obtain approval from the Contract Administrator before <br /> disposing of the residual material in a permitted landfill. <br /> Section 11. Acquisition, Stocking and Distribution of the <br /> Recycling Carts <br /> The Contractor is responsible for acquiring, stocking and distributing the carts to the Haulers for <br /> further distribution to the individual households. <br /> 11.1 Cart s ecifications <br /> P <br /> Contractor must use the followin�;minimum specifications while acquiring the carts <br /> 1. Size 64/65 atlon and 34/35 allon <br /> g � <br /> a. Must be free of sharp edges <br /> b. Shall be stable and self balancing when in upright position either loaded or empty. <br /> c. Handle area shall provide two comfortable gripping areas for pulling and pushing <br /> the cart <br /> d. Integrally molded pick up point on the front side of the cart that allows f'or semi- <br /> automated or automated lifting. <br /> 2. Must be fitted with UHF, Gen2 RFID tag. <br /> 3. Color: Pepsi Blue; lid may be black <br /> 4. Recycled Content: As much as we could bet without compromisin�ihe color <br /> 5. In mold Label: Size 8" X 12" (content to be tinalized with City Contract Administrator) <br /> 6. White hot stamping on the cart <br /> a. City Logo (8" syuare) on the front or sides side of the cart; A minimum of S" for <br /> the smaller carts. <br /> b. Serial Number on the front of the cart <br /> c. Arrows on the top of the cart to show which way the cart should be placed. <br /> 7. lnstructions on the inside of the lid that talks about maintenance of the cart do's and <br /> don'ts with the cart (content to be finalized with City Contract Administrator). <br /> 6 <br />
