1. Direction and supervision of purchasing minor equipment, hardware, <br /> office supplies, etc. <br /> 7. ATE shall also furnish, either upon the request of or with the prior approval of City, <br /> such in-house consulting and technical assistance as may be reasonably required to assist the ' <br /> resident manager in the operation of the transit system which shall include but not be limited to I�'�, <br /> the matters set out in Paragraph 3 hereof. Such services will be provided at no additional cost to �, <br /> the City, with the exception of travel and living expenses incurred by nonresident ATE personnel I <br /> in performing such services away from their usual place of business. The City will reimburse <br /> ATE for such expenses at the following rates: <br /> air travel - coach fare, if available <br /> auto travel - per mile rate allowed by state or federal government as of beginning <br /> of each six-month period during the term of this Interim Agreement <br /> other travel expenses - at actual cost <br /> lodging and subsistence - $125 per day, to be increased by 5% as of the beginning <br /> of each contract year <br /> Services to be provided by ATE under this Interim Agreement do not include special <br /> projects such as bus line inspections, comprehensive operational analysis, transit development <br /> programs, or MIS programs. At the request of the City and for an additional fee, ATE will <br /> perform such special projects subject to mutual Interim Agreement on costs, work task plan, <br /> special project budget, and special project tracking-reporting plan. No additional fee will be due <br /> in the case of such special projects performed by employees of TMD. <br /> 8. TMD shall employ and furnish as the employees of TMD, such personnel as shall be <br /> reasonably required for the efficient and economical operation of the transit system, and shall <br /> assume and accept all current labor contracts in force upon the effective date hereof, and such <br /> 4 <br />
