During the period of employment described herein, <br /> Employee shall perform the duties and possess the responsibilities of City Manager as set forth <br /> within the applicable statutes of the State of Illinois, and more specifically § 5-3-7 of the Illinois <br /> Municipal Code (65 ILCS 5/5-3-7 (1994)), as said provision now e�sts, or may be amended <br /> hereafter, and a11 ordinances lawfully enacted pursuant thereto, and such duties and responsibilities <br /> as the City Council of the City may lawfully assign to Employee. <br /> 3. OTHER EMPLOYMENT. Employee sha11 devote a11 of his time, attention, <br /> knowledge, and skills solely to the interest of the City, and the City sha11 be entitled to all of the <br /> benefits arising from or incident to all work, services, and advice of Employee. <br /> 4. OATH AND BOND. Employee agrees to provide an oath and provide a bond, with <br /> surety, as required by § 5-3-9 ofthe IllinoisMunicipal Code (65 ILCS 5/5-3-9 (1994)). <br /> 5. HOURS OF WORK. The parties realize that the duties and responsibilities of the <br /> City Manager require the person holding such position to work weekends, evenings, and other <br /> irregular hours at locations including the administrative offices of the City, as well as elsewhere, <br /> during regular business hours, and at hours beyond regular working hours. The parties further <br /> realize that such work during irregular hours and at other locations is of equal importance to the <br /> normal daily duties and responsibilities of the City Manager which would be performed at the <br /> administrative offices of the City. Therefore, in order to encourage Employee to undertake and <br /> perform such work at hours which might be considered irregular, and to provide Employee with a <br /> reasonable limitation to the total number of hours which may be required of him in any given week, <br /> it is understood and agreed that Employee sha11 work the hours necessary in order for him to fulfill <br /> -2- <br />
