� � <br /> CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> MONDAY, JANUARY 10 , 1994 <br /> The City Council of the City of Decatur, Illinois, met in <br /> Closed, Executive Session in the Council Conference Room. Mayor <br /> Erik C . Brechnitz presided; together with him being Councilmen <br /> Stephen F. John, William Mitchell , Kent N. Mittelberg, William F. <br /> Oliver, and Randolph L. Van Alstine . Councilman Shirley M. Moore <br /> was absent. Mayor Brechnitz declared a quorum present. <br /> City Manager James C. Bacon, Jr. attended the meeting. <br /> The only item of business was a discussion relative to <br /> purchasing two parcels of land. The first parcel is the area <br /> bounded by Eldorado Street on the north, North Street on the <br /> south, Water Street on the west and Franklin Street on the east. <br /> ' The second area is the area referred to as the "sandwich area. " <br /> This area is located just north of the Route 51 bridge. <br /> Councilman Mittelberg moved the meeting be re-opened to the <br /> public; seconded by Councilman Van Alstine , and on call of the <br /> roll , Councilmen John, Mitchell , Mittelberg, Oliver, Van Alstine <br /> and Mayor Brechnitz voted aye . The Mayor declared the motion <br /> carried. <br /> There being no further business , Councilman Oliver moved the <br /> meeting be adjourned; seconded by Councilman Van Alstine, and on <br /> call of the roll , Councilmen John, Mitchell, Mittelberg, Oliver, <br /> Van Alstine, and Mayor Brechnitz voted aye. The Mayor declared <br /> the meeting adjourned at 9 :50 P.M. <br /> City Clerk <br />
