. <br /> CITY COUNCIL NiIlVUTES <br /> MONDAY,AUGUST 8, 1994 <br /> The City Council of the City of Decatur, Illinois, met in Closed, Executive Session in the <br /> Council Conference Room. Mayor Erik C. Brechnitz presided; together with him being <br /> Councilmen Stephen F. John, William Mitchell, Kent N. Mittelberg, William F. Oliver, and <br /> Randolph L. Van Alstine. Councilman Shirley M. Moore was absent. Six members were present <br /> and one was absent. Mayor Brechnitz declared a quorum present. <br /> The only item of business was a discussion relative to land acquisition. City Manager <br /> Bacon discussed with Council various areas including property located in the 200 and 400 block <br /> of North Water Street, the area referred to as the Near Northeast (old Wabash Hospital property) <br /> and the area referred to as the "sandwich area." No formal action was taken. <br /> Councilman Van Alstine moved the meeting be reopened to the public; seconded by <br /> Councilman Oliver, and on call of the roll, Councilmen 7ohn, Mitchell, Mittelberg, Oliver, Van <br /> Alstine, and Mayor Brechnitz voted aye.
