Reed, Mass Transit Administrator <br /> Subject: Agreement for Mass Transit Planning Services for FY'96 <br /> Upon City Council approval, the attached resolution will authorize the execution of a mass <br /> transit planning agreement with the Illinois Department of Transportation. The State will <br /> reimburse the City for 80% of the planning expenses of the Decatur Public Transit System in <br /> FY'96 (July 1, 1995 thru June 30, 1996). <br /> The mass transit planning budget for the year is $41,250, of which the State's share will be <br /> $33,000. Planning activities include preparation of the annual Technical Work Program, the I <br /> Transit Improvement Program, the ADA Paratransit Plan Update, the DBE/WBE reports, as well <br /> as maintaining ridership and revenue and expense statistics, conducting on/off board surveys, <br /> studying route and schedule changes, and evaluating the performance of the transit system. All <br /> operating and capital projects must be in an approved TIP before the Federal Transit <br /> Administration will award any grants. <br />
