Bacon inquired about their office location. P.
Antonacci responded they will be using Leiby Hall's
building.
Bacon asked how soon Pride Midwest planned to be in
operation. S. Antonacci responded within a month after
approval. Everything is in order and we are awaiting
Council approval.
S. Antonacci stated Pride Midwest proposes to have
drivers work eight (8) hour shifts which will generate more
employment as opposed to 12 hour shifts. V. Holmes added
they will operate seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Pride
Midwest intends to get taxi stands at the airport with
drivers in uniform. They intend to pay close attention to
the image that visitors first have to the community and will
provide courteous service.
S. Antonacci informed Mr. Bacon that Air Cargo had
approached them about service. P. Antonacci stated several
businesses have contacted them for business.
Meyers informed Mr. Bacon that Pride Midwest has been
very cooperative about completing forms and keeping her
informed where they were at in the various stages of the
application process. She added that based on the complaints
she has received from citizens, there is some concern about
Decatur only having one cab company.
V. Holmes stated Pride Midwest knows how to properly
operate a cab company since they have been involved with cab
companies all their life.
Bacon asked for any additional comments from those
present. When no one indicated they wished to be heard, the
hearing was closed at 2 : 30 p.m. by the hearing officer.
 " - t---:
,rr
 Public Hearing Officer
