Other duties include providin; <br /> su�ervisory and supportive services to maintain the health and safery of <br /> a participant when the caregiver needs a period of re?ief or is unable to <br /> provide care. Honemaker/personal care services must be provided in <br /> accordance with the approved plan of care by an a�ency, properIy licensed <br /> or re�ulated by standards estabiisned by an agency of State gove:rtment, <br /> whose professional staff train, assign and supervise the <br /> home:nake:/pe:sonal care worke: and wno are responsible for evaluating <br /> wnether the service o ven mee*s agreed upon qualiry standards and the <br /> assessed needs of participants as specified in the approved pla�z of care. <br /> Agencies providing homemaker/pe:sonal care services are required to <br /> report to the demonstration site any observed changes in the participant's <br /> condition or family situation which might affect his/her currently approved <br /> plan of care. <br /> Se:vices which mav be provided include: <br /> a. assistance with or supervision of tasks associated with ac�iviries of <br /> daiIy Iiving, e.g., bathing, toileting, grooming and dressing, transferring <br /> and use of adaptive equipment, where indicated; <br /> b. pe�ormance of or assistance with tasks related to maintainin; a safe <br /> and healthy living environment, e.g.,: <br /> light cleaning tasks in areas of the home used by the participant, <br /> e.g., dusting, vacuuming, damp mopping; <br /> _ _ _ preparation of a shopping list appropriate to a participant's dietary <br /> needs and financial circumstances as necessary and preparation of <br /> . meals; <br /> III-6 <br />
