Obtain insurance quotations annually from commercial <br /> providers to verify that the self-insurance reserve <br /> contributions do not exceed the cost of commercially <br /> procured insurance coverage. <br /> 11 . Provide all necessary personnel to perform the services <br /> specified herein. <br /> ESTABLISHMENT OF RESERVE FUND <br /> The City of Decatur has established a separate reserve fund <br /> for the self-insurance program for the transit system. An annual <br /> contribution is made to the reserve fund. Such contribution <br /> shall be less than what the cost of commercial coverage for the <br /> self-insured risks would be. Therefore, the program <br /> administrateor will be responsible for qbtaining annual commer- <br /> cial insurance quotations for �10 million in PL/PD, $1 million in <br /> comprehensive general liability, and fire, theft, vandalism and <br /> collision coverage with $1,000 deductible. The program adminis- <br /> trator will analyze the loss experience records of DPTS, the <br /> exposure and risk potential and other factors and make a recom- <br /> mendation to the City relative to the desired level of contribu- <br /> tion to the self-insurance reserve fund. <br /> RISKS TO BE SELF-INSURED <br /> The self-insurance program will assume risks that were <br /> previously covered by commercial insurance. Included are the <br /> following: <br /> A. $10,000,000 . Combined single limit, bodily injury and <br /> property damage liability including uninsured motorists <br /> protection, hired automobiles and non-owned automobile <br /> coverage. <br /> B. $1,000 deductible for fire, theft, combined additional <br /> coverage, including vandalism and malicious mischief <br /> and collision. <br /> C. �1 ,000,000 comprehensive general liability. <br />
