ADOPT-A-HIGHWAY AGREEMENT <br /> (hereinafter <br /> "Group") and the City of Decatur, Illinois (hereinafter "City") <br /> hereby agree to the following terms and conditions for the <br /> Group's participation in the City's Adopt-A-Highway program. <br /> The Group hereby acknowledges and agrees: <br /> 1. That participation in the Adopt-A-Highway program may <br /> involve work of a hazardous nature; <br /> 2 . That the Group will comply with the terms and conditions <br /> of the State Adopt-A-Highway Act and the terms and conditions <br /> required by the City; <br /> 3 . That the Group, or its agents, shall assume all <br /> liability for and hold the State and the State's agents or <br /> employees harmless from any and all claims of action resulting <br /> from the Group's volunteers' or agents' work in the program, <br /> except for the willful and wanton negligent acts of the State and <br /> the State's agents or employees; � <br /> 4 . That the Group or Group's agents shall assume all <br /> liability for and hold the City and its agents or employees <br /> harmless from any and all claims of action resulting from the <br /> Group's volunteers' or agents' work in the program, except for <br /> the negligent acts of the City and the City' s agents or <br /> employees; , <br /> 5. That the members of the Group are jointly and severally �� <br /> bound by the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement; j <br /> 6 . To obey and abide by all laws and regulations relating �I <br /> to safety and any other terms and conditions required by the <br /> City; <br /> 7 . To provide one adult supervisor for every five (5) <br /> youths when persons under age 18 are present on an adopted <br /> section; <br /> 8. Not to allow a person under the age of ten (10) to be a <br /> member of the Group who would be volunteering for the purpose of <br /> litter collection; <br /> 9 . To require all Group members to attend a safety meeting <br /> conducted by the Group before participating in any litter <br /> collection along an adopted section; <br /> 10. To require the Group coordinator, or designee, to <br /> conduct group safety meetings and to receive safety training as <br /> required by the sponsoring jurisdiction; <br /> 11. To adopt a section for a minimum of two (2) years; <br />
