Clark, Director, Department <br /> of Communitq Denel�pment <br /> SIIBJECT: Historic District Eapansion <br /> A petition has been received from NWRAPS for the designation <br />, of properties under the City' s Historic Preservatioa Ordinance. <br /> The proposed boundaries of the district are indicated on the at- <br /> tached map. This map also indicates properties which have beea <br /> re resented on the eti <br /> P p tion. Of the 284 properties , 170 <br /> (representing 60z) properties have signed the petition, t�o <br /> voice� their opgosition (1�) , and the remainder not hear3 from. <br /> ProceduraZly, after receipt of the petition, the Director of <br /> Community Development was required to provide a recommendation to <br /> the Historic and Architectural Sites Commission (HASC) , whicu is <br /> also attached. HASC scheduled a public hearing for which notices <br /> were sent by certified mail to all owners of zecord. �ollowing <br />, that hearing (Februarq I5 , 1990) , at its next regular meeting <br /> (February 21, 1990) , SASC unanimously acted to recommend to the <br /> City Council that the petition be approned. <br /> Review by Council is aow in order and we are anticipating <br /> action on April 2, 1990. Agaia certified notice will need to be <br /> ginen to the property owners not less than ten daqs prior to tne <br /> meeting. <br />
