l •• � AGREEMENT BY THE TOWN OF LONG CREEK WHEREAS, The Town of Long Creek, a unit of local government, Macon County, Illinois, owns and operates a water supply, storage and d�stribution system; and, WHEREAS, the City of Decatur, Illinois, owns and operates a water works system. For and in consideration of the promises and covenants respectively to be performed by the parties hereto, it is agreed by and between the Town of Long Creek, Macon County, Illinois, and the City of Decatur, as follows: l. That the term of this agreement will be for a period of five (5) years commencing August 15, 1985. 2. That during the term of this agreement the Town may offer and maintain water service only within the limits of the Township and only through water ser- vices not to exceed two inches in size, except where a larger service is required solely to service a building fire protection sprinkler system within the Town and the water supplied thereby is used solely for such sprinkler system. The Town may furnish water through larger or multiple services to any one parcel of real estate, or to uses outside the limits of the Town, or permit water supplied through a service larger than two inches in size of which is required by reason of a sprinkler system to be used other than for such system only upon consent of the City Council expressed by ordinance or resolution. 3. That any extension or modification of the Town water system shall be con- structed in compliance with the then current Standards established by Illinois Environmental Protection Agency. Before commencing construction of any substantial extension or modification of said system the Town shall cause detailed plans thereof to be prepared and submitted to the City for examination and review. Further, before admitting any extension or modification of the Town system to service, the Town shall cause the same to be properly sterilized and tested. - 1 -
