(h) Conducting himself on the job, in a manner that brings <br /> credit to the public service and fellow employees; <br /> (i) Cooperating with fellow employees so that work is com- <br /> pleted in an efficient manner; <br /> (j) Limiting outside work and activities so as not to inter- <br /> fere with the best possible performance of his duties and respon- <br /> sibilities. <br /> 1-4 . This ordinance shall apply to all full-time employees of <br /> the City of Decatur, other than officers and those in positions <br /> subject to the provisions of Ordinance No. 77-155; provided, <br /> however, that except as may be directed by the City Manager, this <br /> ordinance shall not apply to those employees whose services are <br /> performed as part of an unemployment work-relief or work-training <br /> program assisted or financed in whole or in part by any federal <br /> agency or an agency of the State of Illinois. <br /> 1-5. Persons appointed to positions in the classified service <br /> shall reside within the corporate limits of the City of Decatur. <br /> Upon original appointment, an appointee may reside outside said <br /> corporate limits but shall establish residence within said limits <br /> within 90 days after the completion of said appointees' proba- <br /> tionary period. Persons occupying positions in the classified <br /> service on May 1, 1981, and residing outside said limits are ex- <br /> empt from the requirements hereof, provided that such persons <br /> reside within the County of Macon outside the limits of any in- <br /> corporated city or village therein other than the City of <br /> Decatur, and provided further that should such persons change <br /> their place of residence at any time hereafter while still in the <br /> classified service, such new place of residence shall be within <br /> the corporate limits of the City of Decatur; further, if such <br /> person's residence is incorporated into the corporate limits of a <br /> city or village by action neither solicited nor consented to by <br /> the person, such person for that reason alone shall not be re- <br /> quired to change residence. <br /> (AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 81-40, May 11, 1981) <br /> CHAPTER 2 <br /> DEFINITIONS <br /> 2-1. Anniversary Date - that date on which an individual is ini- <br /> tially appointed to a classified position with the City. <br /> 2-2 . Authorized Overtime - those hours worked in excess of an <br /> employee's regularly scheduled duty week which an employee serves <br /> at the direction and with the approval of his supervisor. <br /> 2-3 . Classified Position - a particular position or place of <br /> employment within the classified service, generally being a <br /> specific job requiring specific skills and performance of related <br /> job tasks. <br />
