2-17 . Pay Grade or Range - a salary position ranking in the pay <br /> scale assigned to a given classified position. <br /> 2-i8 . Pay Steps - pay levels within the pay grades or range. <br /> 2-19. Police Service - all sworn members of the police force of <br /> the Police Department not excluded from the application of this <br /> ordinance. <br /> 2-20. Position Seniority - the length of continuous service in <br /> a given classified position regardless of the department to which <br /> the classified position is assigned. <br /> 2-21. Regular Shift Employee - an employee who works a regular <br /> duty week; in the case of the fire service, an employee who works <br /> a regular duty schedule averaging fifty six hours per week. <br /> 2-22 . Resignation - the voluntary abandonment of a position by <br /> an employee. <br /> 2-23 . Seasonal Employee - an employee who is hired for work <br /> that is seasonal in nature. <br /> 2-24 . Suspension - a disciplinary action temporarily stopping <br /> the performance of the regular duties of an employee. <br /> 2-25 . Temporary Employee - an employee who is temporarily ap- <br /> pointed to a regular position or appointed to a temporary posi- <br /> tion. <br /> 2-26 . Veteran' s Day - an authorized holiday which is <br /> celebrated for all City purposes on the 11th day of November of <br /> each year. <br /> CHAPTER 3 <br /> CITY FUNDS AND PROPERTY <br /> 3-1. Every member of the City who receives money on behalf of <br /> the City shall turn the same over to the City Treasurer at the <br /> end of the day in which the same is received. <br /> 3-2 . Every employee of the City, upon the termination of his <br /> employment, for any cause whatsoever, shall deliver to the head <br /> of his department all property, books, and records which may be <br /> the property of the City. <br /> CHAPTER 4 <br /> PAYROLL DEDUCTIONS <br /> 4-1. On the employee's starting date, the employee shall supply <br /> the City Treasurer's Office with the following information: <br />
